At Prosis, we are going green!
We strive to assist our clients in securing and simplifying their communications by offering consulting, design, installation, repairs, maintenance of communication and IT networks. Our method of choice to achieve this efficiently is to work with most technologies, enabling us to offer safe and secure communications.
Despite all this, we still don’t think it’s enough: ultimately, our aim is not only to provide our professional consultancy services as best we can, but also to try and implement green initiatives whenever possible.
In order to achieve this valuable and essential goal, we do the following:
- We pre-configure the kits that we supply so they are ready for installation. This is a simple way of saving time, fuel and CO2 as clients can set them up themselves, avoiding the need to dispatch an engineer to install the equipment.
- We always look for ways to reduce power requirements, which is why we provide power-efficient equipment, such as routers, modems, switches, etc.
- Wherever possible, we try and combine several functions of the equipment, for example by placing modems and switches in the same unit. This way, power requirements are reduced, thus reducing energy consumption and lowering carbon emissions among other savings. This is also a good way to free up vital power sockets.
